Mike Clark, Lt Col, US Army (Retired). Retiring from the Army in 1992 after 26 years of active service, Mike’s last assignment was a Professor of Military Science at New Mexico State University.  He also served in various command and staff positions in many U. S. and overseas locations including two combat tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. Mike began a 2nd career in education in 1992 as a high school teacher, high school Dean of Students, high school Principal, Assistant Superintendent, and Superintendent of Schools.  Mike retired from education in 2013 as Superintendent of Pine Strawberry Elementary School District.

Mike earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master’s Degree in Management from Central Michigan University. Having previously served on multiple service organization boards, he currently chairs the board of the Helping Hands Food Pantry, is an active member of the New Braunfels Kiwanis and the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association.

Mike is married to his wife of 49 years, the former Jan Worley of Odessa, TX.  They have two grown children and five grandchildren.
